Sk Door

Sk Door is out in the Mundka Industrial Area, specifically on Firni Road. If you are familiar with the Mundka Metro Station, we are not too far from there at all. Being in an industrial zone means it is always loud and there is always a lot of dust from the other workshops around us. We deal with doors and all kinds of them too. Wooden ones, laminates, and frames. Our space is mostly taken up by heavy slabs of wood and finished doors waiting to be picked up. It is a ground floor spot, which makes loading and unloading much easier, though the road outside is often blocked by big trucks. We have got a couple of saws and some basic machinery in the back. It is not a fancy showroom; it is a workshop where things actually get made and fitted. We spend our days measuring twice and cutting once, or at least that is usually the plan. Sometimes a piece of wood has a knot we did not see at first, and we have to start all over again. That is just part of working with natural materials like wood. The air is usually thick with the smell of sawdust and glue. People come to us when they are building a house or fixing up an old office space. We do not do much advertising around here. Most people find us just by walking through the industrial area or through word of mouth. It is tough, physical work.
