M/S Ircon International Limited, Srinagar (J&K).

Even though we’re listed as being from Srinagar, our office for Ircon International is actually tucked away in Khirki Extension. It’s in Malviya Nagar, specifically at J4/9B. It’s a crowded neighborhood in New Delhi, but we’ve made a home here. We work on a lot of big infrastructure projects, though our daily life is mostly spent behind desks looking at blueprints and budget spreadsheets. The office is usually stacked with files and dusty blueprints. We aren't a high-rise corporate tower type of place. It’s more of a ground-level operation where everyone knows everyone’s name. Working in the Delhi heat means we drink a lot of water and keep the AC units working hard. We handle a lot of logistics for the projects happening way up north. It's interesting how we coordinate everything from here in New Delhi. The streets in Khirki Extension are narrow, so getting deliveries in can be a bit of a struggle sometimes. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. Most of us are just focused on the engineering side of things. We come in early, stay late if the project needs it, and go home. It’s a steady job and we try to do it well without making a fuss. Being near Malviya Nagar means there’s always somewhere to grab a quick bite. We’re just a bunch of people trying to keep these big projects moving forward.
