We are based out of V.P.O. Ateli Mandi in the Mahendergarh district of Haryana. It’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the big cities, but that suits us just fine. The office is right there in the village area, so we’re very much part of the local scene. You’ll find us near the main market where the grain comes in and the tractors are always moving. Life in Ateli Mandi follows the seasons, and so does our work to some extent. The roads can get quite dusty during the summer months, so we’re always wiping down the desks and the files before we start the day. We’ve got a small team here, mostly local folks who know the Haryana area like the back of their hands. It can get incredibly hot here, so we have a couple of old fans that hum all day long without stopping. We don't have a big fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. Usually, you just walk in and see one of us sitting at a wooden desk with a pile of folders and a half-empty cup of tea. We deal with various infrastructure projects, so there’s always maps pinned to the walls with coffee stains on the edges. It’s a simple setup, really. We spend our mornings catching up on emails and our afternoons usually involve someone going out to check on a project nearby. It’s the kind of place where people stop by to chat. We just get on with things.
