Overseas Enterprises

Overseas Enterprises is down in the basement of DLF-9 in the Moti Nagar Industrial Area. Being in a basement means we don't get much sunlight, so we keep the lights on all day. It is a pretty large space, but it is filled with crates and machinery, so it feels a lot smaller than it is. The air can get a bit stuffy, but we have a few fans going to keep it moving. We handle a lot of different parts and equipment here. It is not the kind of place you would visit if you were looking for a fancy shopping experience. It is an industrial spot through and through. You can hear the sounds of the other businesses in the building echoing through the walls. I spend most of my time checking lists and making sure the boxes are labeled correctly before they go out. Sometimes the delivery drivers get lost trying to find the right entrance, so I have to go up to the street to wave them down. It is a lot of back-and-forth work. We drink tea from the stall around the corner a few times a day to keep us going. There is always a layer of dust on everything, no matter how much we clean. We just focus on getting the orders ready and making sure the inventory matches what is on my clipboard.
