Our place is over in Madangir, tucked away in New Delhi 62. It is a busy, crowded area and we spend a lot of our time dealing with rebar and couplers. If you have ever been to a construction site in the city, you know how messy things get. We handle the splicing side of things, making sure the steel bars are joined up properly so the structures hold together like they are supposed to. It is a lot of mechanical work and checking threads by hand. Sometimes the noise from the machines is a bit much, but we are used to it by now. The team here just gets on with the job. We have a lot of regular contractors who drop by or call us to get things prepared for their next big pour. Being in Delhi, we are always fighting the traffic to get parts moved around or to visit a site. It’s not a quiet life. The office isn't much to look at, just desks and a lot of technical drawings and sample pieces of steel lying around. We try to stay organized but when several orders come in at once, it gets a bit hectic. We just focus on getting the splicing work done right so the engineers are happy. It’s practical work for people who don't mind getting their hands a bit dirty. We’ve been here in Madangir for a while and we just keep plugging away at the daily tasks.
