M.K. Laminators

We've been here at Lawrence Road for quite a while now. M.K. Laminators is just a small setup in the B-54 block, mostly focused on getting sheets through the machines correctly. It gets loud in this part of the industrial area, but we've gotten used to the noise over the years. Some days the machines run smooth, other days we spend more time fixing things than actually laminating. It’s honest work. Most people who come by are just looking to get their paper or cardboard covered so it doesn't get ruined. We keep a stack of rolls ready by the door. It isn't a fancy office with chairs or anything, just a workspace where we get things done. The traffic around the B-54 lot can be a bit much in the mornings. We usually start early before the sun gets too hot. Usually, it's just a couple of us handling the laminating rolls and checking the heat on the rollers. Sometimes the edges aren't perfect, but we try to keep it neat enough for the customers. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit, but we’re still here in the same spot doing the same stuff. The floor is usually covered in scrap bits of plastic. We sweep up every evening, but by noon the next day, it’s messy again. That's just how it goes here in the industrial area. We don't mind the work though.
