You can find us over at C-122 in Okhla Industrial Area, Phase I. Okhla is a crowded place, and finding a parking spot near our gate can be a bit of a challenge some days. Mitutoyo South Asia P.Ltd. has a fairly standard industrial setup here. The building is sturdy and has been through many seasons. Inside, we have different sections for storage and the office work. The floors are concrete and get quite cold in the winter months. We usually have some light music playing in the background to keep the energy up while we go through the inventory lists. It’s a lot of manual work mixed with some computer entry. We have a small break room where the water cooler is, and that’s usually where you’ll find someone catching their breath. The windows are high up, so we get some natural light, but we mostly rely on the overhead tubes. It’s a functional space above everything else. We don’t have fancy carpets or designer chairs. Most of the furniture is just old wood or metal that gets the job done. Sometimes the street noise from Phase I gets a bit loud, especially with the honking, but we just close the heavy front door. We keep a simple calendar on the wall to track our deadlines. It’s just a group of people working hard in a busy part of Delhi, making sure everything is where it needs to be.
