You can find us on the first floor of Shiv Market at 2217/14. We are right in the middle of Bhagirath Palace in Chandni Chowk. If you’ve ever been here, you know how crowded and narrow the lanes are. It’s the heart of the electrical market. Our shop is small and packed with all sorts of lighting products. There are wires and bulbs everywhere you look. It’s a noisy place with people shouting and carts being pushed through the crowds. We spend most of our time talking to customers and showing them the different options we have. The air is always thick with the smell of old buildings and street food. We’ve been in this market for years, and we know almost everyone on this floor. It’s a very social way to work. You can’t really avoid people here. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep and narrow. We have a small desk where we do the billing and keep our records. It’s not organized in a fancy way, but we know where everything is. Lunch usually comes from one of the vendors nearby. It’s a chaotic place, but it’s where all the action is for lighting in Delhi. We just show up every morning, open the shop, and deal with whatever the day brings in the market. It’s a busy life but we like the energy of the crowd. Sometimes the power lines outside look like a bird's nest, but somehow everything keeps running.
