Metro Tunneling Group

The office for Metro Tunneling Group is right on Main Patel Road in Khampur. We are at number 2360, basically right across from Metro Pillar No 221. If you are driving down that road, you can't miss the pillar, so finding us is pretty easy. It is a noisy part of New Delhi 110 008, with all the traffic and the metro running nearby. We like being near the pillar because it reminds us of the kind of work we do every day. Inside the office, things are usually a bit messy. We have boots by the door and helmets on the racks. It is a practical space, not something out of a magazine. We do a lot of planning here for the underground sections. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out or use the torches. The guys come in early, usually around seven, to grab their gear. There is a small chai stall nearby where we get our morning fix before starting the heavy lifting. Dealing with the ground is never predictable. One day it is soft soil and the next it is rock that won't budge. We just deal with whatever comes up. Being at 2360 Khampur means we are right in the middle of everything. It is a lot of sweat and grime, but the team is used to it by now.
