Metro Tunneling Group (Jv Of Dywidag-L&T-Ircon-Samsung-Shimizu)

We are based at Hn-62 in Saidula Jaib, over in the Mehroli area of New Delhi-30. This is the Metro Tunneling Group, which is actually a joint venture involving several names like Dywidag, L&T, Ircon, Samsung, and Shimizu. Even though there are big names involved in the paperwork, we are just the local crew on the ground making things happen. The office here in Saidula Jaib is pretty basic and functional. It is where we handle the day-to-day stuff for the tunneling work. Working in a joint venture means there are a lot of different people coming and going, but we all have the same goal of getting the tunnels built properly. Mehroli is an old part of the city, so we have to be very careful with how we work. It is not a simple job and there is always something that needs our attention. We do not use fancy language to describe what we do. It is mostly just digging, hauling dirt, and making sure the machines are running as they should. We are not here to impress anyone with marketing or big promises. We just want to get the project finished so the city can use the new lines. The guys on the site are the ones doing the real heavy lifting. We stay busy with the technical details and the physical labor. It is a lot of coordination, but at the end of the day, it is just about hard work.
