Medical Engineers

Out here at B-47 in the G.T. Karnal Road Industrial Area, things are always noisy. We are right near the Shakti Nagar Telephone Exchange, so it's a good landmark for people trying to find us. Being in an industrial zone means there is always a truck idling nearby or someone loading something. We have been operating as Medical Engineers for a long time now. The office is basically just a few desks and a lot of technical manuals. We spend a lot of time looking at schematics and trying to fix things that people bring in. It's dusty because of the road work that never seems to finish, but that is just part of being in this part of town. Most of us here have grease on our hands by lunchtime. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably see us middle of a project. We handle the technical side of medical stuff, making sure things actually run. Sometimes the electricity cuts out for a bit, but we just wait it out or use the generator. It’s a plain workplace where we focus on the machines. We know the other shop owners on the block, and we usually grab lunch from the same roadside stall. It is a simple setup, but it serves us well for the kind of engineering work we do every day.
