Down at E- 68 in Maya Puri Phase 2, you will find the Takhat Singh Brothers. We are right in the middle of the industrial hub, surrounded by metal shops and warehouses. The family has been working out of this location for a long time, and the building shows its age a bit, but it is solid. There is usually a lot of noise coming from the street—horns honking and the sound of heavy things being moved around. Inside, it is a mix of old ledgers and modern tools. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate values hanging on the walls. We just show up every morning, open the heavy metal shutters, and get to work. It is a family-run place, so there is always a bit of arguing about where things were left or who was supposed to call back a customer. That is just how we operate. We know our neighbors well, and we often help each other out when someone’s truck breaks down or they need an extra hand with a heavy load. It is a gritty part of town, and your clothes will probably get a bit dirty if you spend too much time in our workshop. We don't mind it, though. It feels good to work with your hands and see something finished at the end of the week. We just take things one day at a time and keep moving forward.
