About Marble City – Building & Construction Material in Delhi
We've been at D/11 on the Ring Road in Rajouri Garden for a while. It’s busy out there. The shop gets dusty because of all the traffic passing by every minute. We keep different slabs of marble here, so sometimes the floor is a bit messy. People come in looking for flooring or kitchen counters. We just show them what we have in the back. It’s heavy work. We spend most days moving crates and checking the stone for cracks. The tea guy comes by around four in the afternoon. Most of our neighbors are also in some kind of trade. It's not a fancy place at all. We have stacks of stone piled up wherever they fit. If you walk in, you’ll probably see us covered in white dust. My father started this business years ago, and now I’m the one here. We don’t have a big office or anything, just a simple desk and some plastic chairs. The Ring Road is always loud, but you get used to it after a week or two. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in traffic near the junction, and we just have to wait. That’s how it goes here. We help people find what they need for their houses. It’s straightforward. We don't do big ads. Mostly it’s just people driving by who see the slabs outside and stop their cars. We keep things simple at Marble City. If a piece has a vein someone likes, they take it.
