We are located at 58, Qaziwada in Khurja, which is part of the Bulandshar district. This is an old part of town, and our building has been here for quite a while. We do a bit of everything in the business sense, mostly trading and handling local goods. The streets here are narrow, so getting large deliveries in can be a bit of a challenge. Our office feels lived-in. There are old cupboards filled with ledgers from years ago. We still keep some records by hand because it’s just the way we’ve always done it. The staff is like family; some people have been working here since they were young. We know all the neighbors and the other shopkeepers around Qaziwada. It’s a community. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. If someone needs something, they usually just know to come to us. We handle the day-to-day buying and selling without making a big deal out of it. Some days are loud with people talking and phones ringing, and other days are just quiet and steady. We’ve seen the market go up and down over the decades. We just stick to what we know and try to be helpful to whoever walks through the door. It’s a simple way to run a business, but it works for us here in Khurja. We don't need much more than that to be satisfied with our day's work.
