Sumit Footcare

You can find Sumit Footcare over at A- 105 in Mangolpuri Industrial Area Phase-2. We’ve been working out of this unit for a while. We mostly deal with shoes and different kinds of footwear for men and kids. It’s an industrial area, so it’s not a place where people come for window shopping. Most of our business is done through suppliers and other shops. Inside, there are usually stacks of boxes everywhere. We make use of every inch of space we have in the building. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes when we get a new shipment in. My father started this business, and I’ve been helping him run it for the last few years. We have a few machines for the smaller repairs and finishing touches, but mostly it’s a place for storage and distribution. The neighbors are all doing similar things, so there’s a lot of activity on the street with people moving crates. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy letters. We just focus on the shoes. Sometimes we have a few seconds left over to drink some tea and watch the traffic go by. It’s a busy life here in Mangolpuri. The building gets a bit cold in the winter, so we all wear extra layers. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs to be done.
