Maharaja Appliances Limited has an office at 71 Godavari Apartments in Kalkaji, New Delhi. This is actually a residential complex, and we are working out of Mr. Ramesh Kalra’s place. It is a bit different from having a big store on the main road, but it works for what we need to do. Being in Kalkaji means we are near the Tara Apartments too, so it is a very established part of South Delhi. The apartment is on the ground floor, which makes it easier for people to drop by. We handle a lot of the appliance business coordination from here. Delhi is always fast and loud, but inside the apartment complex, it is actually quite calm. We have got our desks set up in one of the rooms. Most of our time is spent on the phone or working on the computer to track shipments of fans or stoves. It is a very home-style way of running a business. We do not have a big neon sign out front. You just have to know which apartment to look for. The pin code is 110 019. Working from a residential area has its perks, like it is quieter and feels more relaxed than a commercial building. We just keep our records in order and make sure the appliance orders are moving along. It is a small team and we just get things done. Sometimes the neighbors stop by for a chat.
