Music Shop

The Music Shop is located in the Old Lajpat Rai Market in Chandni Chowk, not too far from Prit Vihar. If you have ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how incredibly crowded and loud it is. Our shop is at number 672 and it is packed from floor to ceiling with instruments. We have guitars, harmoniums, and tablas squeezed into every available corner. It’s a small space and sometimes it feels like the walls are closing in when there are more than two customers inside. The market is full of history and we’ve been part of this chaos for many years now. You can hear music coming from different stalls all day long, mixed with the shouting of street vendors outside. We don't have a polished showroom with glass cases; everything is out where people can see and touch it. Sometimes a string breaks or a drum needs tuning, so there is always a bit of tinkering going on at the back bench. We don't really do any formal advertising because the foot traffic in Chandni Chowk is enough to keep us busy. People from all over the city come here looking for a bargain or a specific part for an old instrument. It is a dusty, noisy, and wonderful place to be if you love music. We just open the shop, drink our tea, and wait to see who walks through the door next.
