We’re over in the Patparganj Industrial Area, at B-29 on the second floor. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of manufacturing going on and trucks constantly moving in and out. Our space is mostly dedicated to lighting. If you walked in, you’d see a lot of different fixtures and bulbs scattered around the tables. We use the second floor because it gives us a bit of distance from the noise on the ground level, though you can still hear the engines and horns all day long. We’ve been at this for a while now. It’s not a glamorous job, but someone has to make sure the lights work and everything is wired correctly. We spend our time testing different setups and making sure the assemblies are right before they go out. The floor is usually a bit messy with wire clippings and cardboard boxes. We don't have a big fancy lobby with a receptionist to greet you. Usually, one of us will just look up from a workbench or a pile of papers when someone comes in. We deal with a lot of local contractors and builders who need stuff for their projects. It’s a lot of back-and-forth about technical specs and quantities. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a light isn't bright enough or the casing is flimsy, we don't sell it. It’s just about being practical and getting the job done. Patparganj is a tough place to work sometimes, but we have our routine.
