We are based out of F-90/1 in Okhla Industrial Area, Phase I. This part of Delhi is always humming with the sound of machinery and trucks. Our office and workshop aren't much to look at from the outside, but inside we have all our measuring equipment set up just how we like it. Metrology is a slow, careful kind of work, which is a bit of a contrast to the chaos of the traffic right outside our gates. We spend our days checking dimensions and making sure everything is calibrated correctly. The guys here have been doing this for a long time, so they know the quirks of the different instruments we handle. It gets pretty hot in the summer, and the industrial dust is a constant battle, but we keep the lab area as clean as possible. We usually eat lunch together in the small back room or grab something from the local vendors who come around. There is no corporate manual here; we just know what needs to be done and we get to it. Most of our clients are other local factories who need their parts verified. It’s honest work that requires a lot of patience. If you drop by Lipak Metrology, you will likely see us hunched over a granite plate or checking a screen, making sure the numbers are exactly where they should be for the day.
