Our base is in Mumbai, which means we are right in the middle of all the action in Maharashtra. It’s hard to describe just one thing about this place because the city is so big and changes from block to block. We work out of a space that has seen a lot of years. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy to worry about that right now. Most of our time is spent tracking projects across the city. Mumbai is a place where you have to be quick, or you get left behind. We aren't into the corporate polish you see in some of the newer districts. We are more about the actual work. There’s always a stack of paperwork on someone’s desk and a phone ringing in the background. We eat our lunch together when we can, usually just something brought from home. The humidity can be tough, so we keep the windows shut and the fans or AC running as much as possible. It’s a loud, crowded, and energetic environment to work in. We’ve got a small crew who knows how to navigate the local systems. It’s not always easy, especially with the monsoon rains causing chaos, but it’s what we do. We just keep moving forward with the daily tasks. We don't spend time on fancy talk, we just get the contracting work handled.
