Our shop is right in the middle of the madness at Old Lajpat Rai Market in Chandni Chowk. We are at Shop No 379. If you’ve ever been to this market, you know it’s a maze of narrow lanes and thousands of shops. It’s very loud and there is always someone pushing a cart past your feet. Our place is small, but we have LEDs packed into every single corner and hanging from the ceiling. It’s probably the brightest spot in the row because we keep so many lights on to show what we have. We’ve been here for years, and the shop hasn't changed much in that time. The walls are covered in shelves and wires. There is barely enough room for three people to stand inside at once. We spend our days talking to customers who come from all over the city looking for specific lighting parts. It gets very hot in the summer, so we have a small fan that rattles on the counter. We don't have a fancy website or a sales team. It’s just us behind the counter. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here, and we often share a meal or a tea in the afternoons. It’s a hectic way to work, but we are used to the noise and the crowds of Chandni Chowk. It’s just how things are done in this part of Delhi.
