Syndicate Cloth Agency

We are located at R-67 on the lower ground floor in Ramesh Park. It’s a residential area mostly, so it’s a bit quieter than the main Laxmi Nagar markets. We act as an agency for different types of cloth and textiles. The space is down a few steps, so it stays a bit cooler in the summer, which is nice when the Delhi heat kicks in. I started this agency after working for a big wholesaler for ten years. I wanted to be my own boss even if it meant having a smaller shop. We have samples of various fabrics hanging on the walls and stacked on tables for people to see. It’s not a fancy showroom. We mostly deal with small-time garment makers and local tailors who need specific materials for their own work. My cousin helps me out with the books and the deliveries when I'm out of the office. We spend a lot of time on the phone or drinking tea with people who drop by to see what new stock we have. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late because of the terrible Delhi traffic, but we manage to get things done. We don't have a big mission statement or any of that stuff. We just try to find good cloth at a price that works for everyone involved. It’s a simple setup and we like keeping it that way. If you’re walking through Ramesh Park, you’ll see us.
