Larsen &Toubro Ecc Division

Our office is over in Dwarka, specifically in Pocket-1 of Sector-23. It’s a DDA area, so it’s got that typical New Delhi feel to it. Being part of the ECC division means we are always caught up in the middle of some project or another. The city is always growing, and we’re just a small part of that process. Our space here is strictly for work. There aren't any fancy lounges or glass-walled meeting rooms. It’s mostly just shelves full of binders and a few tables where we spread out the blueprints. We get a lot of noise from the street outside, but you get used to it after a week. Most of the staff here at Larsen & Toubro have been in the construction industry for years. We talk more about concrete and steel than we do about business strategy. It’s a very hands-on environment. We don't try to polish up how we speak or how we look. If we have a deadline, we might stay late and order some food in. It’s just how it is. Dealing with the heat in Delhi is probably the hardest part of the job when we’re out at the sites. We just keep the fans running and stay focused on the tasks. It’s a decent living and we like the work we do. Nothing more to it than that.
