Larsen & Toubro Ltd- Ecc Division

This is where Jayanta Ghosh works with the ECC division. It’s not a big corporate building or anything like that, just a regular place where we handle our tasks. Jayanta has been looking after things for a bit now. We don't really have a big sign outside or a lobby with a receptionist. Most of the time it's just about getting the reports finished and making sure the numbers look right. If you come by, you’ll probably find someone drinking tea and looking at blueprints or spreadsheets. We aren't trying to impress anyone with how the place looks. It’s practical. There are a few computers that have seen better days and some chairs that squeak when you sit down. We stay busy with the work that comes in. It’s quiet enough to get things done but we are always connected to the bigger projects happening elsewhere. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic when deadlines are close, but that’s normal for us. We don’t have any fancy coffee machines, just a kettle in the corner. It’s a bit of a small operation here compared to the main offices, but we like it that way. It’s easier to talk to each other without having to send a hundred emails. We just shout across the room if we need something. It works for us and we get the job done without much fuss. We've been at this for years and know our routines well. The desks are covered in notebooks, but that is just a sign of a real working office.
