Kumar Builders

Our office is on the top floor of C-36 in Katwariya Sarai, and honestly, the climb up the stairs keeps us fit if nothing else. Being in New Delhi-16 means things are always moving fast and it can get pretty loud outside with all the traffic. Kumar Builders operates from this small space where we keep all our files and project folders tucked away in metal cabinets. It’s not a very quiet place because there is always someone coming in to talk about a project or a worker stopping by to pick up their pay. We spend a lot of time looking at maps of the city and trying to plan out how to get materials through the narrow lanes around here without causing a total jam. Some days are better than others, especially when the weather isn't too hot, but usually, we are just sweating it out on-site or sitting under a fan in the office. We handle the paperwork and the planning ourselves right here. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t have a big reception or anyone to answer phones in a fancy way; usually, whoever is closest to the desk just picks it up. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a bit and we like how everything is close by. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know, and we just keep at it day after day.
