You can find us in Vasant Kunj at Flat-1313, Sec.-B, Pocket-1. Atul Dwivedi runs the show here for Kinetic Elevator. It’s a standard New Delhi apartment that we’ve turned into an office. We’ve got desks in the living area and the spare rooms are filled with files and equipment manuals. It’s a bit cramped, but it keeps us all close together so we can talk things through easily. We spend most of our time coordinating with the mechanics who are out on-site fixing elevators. The phone rings a lot, and there’s always someone coming in or out. We like the neighborhood because it’s quiet enough to get things done but close enough to the main roads when we need to leave. We’ve got a small balcony where we keep some plants, though we forget to water them more often than we should. It’s an unpretentious setup. We don’t have a receptionist or a lobby. If you knock on the door, one of us will just come and open it. We’re just a bunch of regular people working hard to make sure everything is running smoothly. It’s not a corporate skyscraper, just a simple flat where we put in our hours and do our best to stay on top of the schedule every day. It gets a bit hectic sometimes, but that is just part of the job we do.
