If you head over to Ajmeri Gate and look for number 199, you'll find us. Kaycee Rubber & Plastic Co. has been in this neighborhood for quite a stretch. It’s a crowded area, but that’s part of the charm, I guess. We work with rubber and plastic parts, mostly for industrial use. The shop is filled with the smell of materials, which you get used to after five minutes. We aren't a big corporation with fancy desks. Mostly, it’s just us surrounded by rolls and sheets of stock. It’s dusty work, but someone has to do it. My father started this, and we just kept it going. We know the other shop owners around Ajmeri Gate well. We share news and sometimes help each other out when things get hectic. Dealing with plastic and rubber means we see a lot of different people with specific needs. We don't have a website that does everything; we prefer talking to people face to face or on the phone. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook, and other times it’s quiet enough to hear the traffic outside. We just try to keep at it and do the work that’s right in front of us. It’s a simple life at 199. We don’t overcomplicate things. We just provide what’s needed and keep moving. That’s how Kaycee Rubber & Plastic Co. stays running year after year.
