You can find us in Karol Bagh down Gali Number 12 inside the Partap Chamber. It’s right on Gurudwara Road in the Beadon Pura area which is always crowded. We sell traditional juttis and footwear. The shop is small and packed with boxes from floor to ceiling. It can be a bit overwhelming if you aren’t used to the narrow lanes of this market. We’ve been here for a good while and have seen the market change quite a bit. It’s a family-run kind of thing for the most part. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a website that looks professional. Most of our work is just showing people different styles and making sure they get the right fit. The dust from the road gets in sometimes and we spend a lot of time cleaning. It’s just the way it is here. We focus on the leather and the stitching because that’s what matters for juttis. Some people come in looking for specific designs they saw somewhere else and we do our best to help them find something similar. It’s noisy outside with the traffic and the shoppers but inside we just focus on the shoes. We don’t try to be something we’re not.
