Nuzhat Jute Bags Factory

Nuzhat Jute Bags Factory is where we work, and you can find us at No 45.1/3 on the ground floor of D-Block in Nehru Vihar. We are quite close to the Haji Mangte Wali Gali, which is what we tell people when they are trying to find the place. Being on the ground floor is very helpful because we move a lot of heavy jute rolls in and out. The whole factory smells like jute, which is a very specific earthy smell. It’s a busy environment with the sound of sewing machines going all day long. It gets quite loud, so we usually have to speak up to be heard. We make bags of all sorts here. There are piles of brown and dyed fabric sitting in the corners. Nehru Vihar is a crowded area, so there is always something happening right outside our door. Nuzhat Jute Bags Factory isn't a fancy corporate place. It’s more of a family-style workshop. We don't have fancy offices or air conditioning. We just have some big pedestal fans to keep the air moving. When things get busy, everyone jumps in to help, whether it's cutting fabric or packing the finished bags. We take our tea breaks sitting near the entrance. It’s honest work and we have been doing it for a long time. We just focus on finishing the orders for the day and getting them ready for delivery to our customers.
