Karam Motors Pvt. Ltd. is situated at B-67 Mayapuri Indl. Area, Phase - 1. If you know Mayapuri, you know it’s a very hectic place with lots of noise and grease. Our workshop is right in the thick of it. The floor is usually covered in a bit of oil and there are parts lying around on the benches. Having been here for quite some time now, we can see how much the building shows its age. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but being so busy keeps us from worrying about that. Most of our day involves dealing with engines and mechanical parts. It’s loud, and you have to shout sometimes to be heard over the sound of the tools. Tucked away in the back is a small office where we keep the records. It’s a bit cramped in there with all the catalogs and boxes of spare parts. Without a proper place for people to sit and wait, most folks just stand around the entrance. Drinking tea helps us stay focused throughout the day. The traffic in Phase 1 is always a struggle, especially when we are trying to get deliveries in or out. It’s a tough environment, but the rhythm of it is something we have grown to like. We don't do anything fancy, just the work that needs doing.
