You can find Kapoor Photo Store over in Chandni Chowk, inside Kucha Chaudhary. We occupy Office No. 25/26, which covers both the first and second floors. It’s a bit of a climb up those old stairs, but we’ve been doing it for so long we don’t even think about it anymore. Chandni Chowk is always packed, as everyone knows. The energy on the street is intense, with people everywhere and the smell of food from the nearby stalls. Our shop is filled with all sorts of things we’ve collected over the years. It’s not organized like a modern retail chain; it’s more of a lived-in space. There are boxes stacked in corners and shelves that are a bit crowded. We like it that way. It feels like home. Being on two floors gives us a bit more room to breathe, though it still feels tight when we have a lot of stock coming in. We spend our days talking to people who wander in from the narrow lanes of Kucha Chaudhary. Some are regulars we’ve known for decades, and others are just passing through the market. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just enjoy being part of the history here in this part of the city. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the pace of Chandni Chowk, but we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. It’s a real, messy, wonderful place to be.
