Kamal Udyog

Kamal Udyog is sitting right here at 1/5038 on street number 2. We are in the Balbir Nagar part of Shahdara. If you know this area, you know how tight the streets can get. It’s a real old-school neighborhood. We have been in this spot for years and the neighbors all know us. The building isn't new, it has a lot of character and maybe a few cracks in the plaster, but it works for what we need. Every day is about the same. We open up the shutters around nine and start checking the machines. It gets noisy when everything is running, but that’s just the sound of work. We aren't some big corporate office with glass walls. It’s mostly concrete and metal in here. The lighting is a bit dim in the back, but we know where everything is kept. Lunch is usually someone going out to get some samosas or eating at the desks. We try to keep things organized, but sometimes the orders get a bit messy on the desk. Shahdara is a busy place to be, and there’s always something happening out on the street. Whether it’s a delivery truck or just people going to the market, it’s never quiet. We just keep our heads down and focus on making sure the stuff we produce is what the customers asked for. That’s about it for us. It is just a regular workshop doing regular work every day.
