Style & Fashion

Style & Fashion is located up on the first floor of J. 1/283 in the Kalkaji area. Being on the first floor means it is a little quieter than being right on the street level, which we actually prefer. You have to walk up the stairs to get to us, but most people don't seem to mind the climb once they know where we are. The shop is a bit of a mix between a storage space and a place where we show our clothes. We spend a lot of our time sorting through different fabrics and checking the stitching on the new arrivals. It is not a high-end boutique with bright lights and mirrors everywhere. It is more of a practical workspace where we get things done. Kalkaji is a very lively part of town, and there is always something happening right outside our window. Sometimes we just take a minute to look down at the traffic and the people on the street. We have been at J. 1/283 for a while now and we have seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood. We handle all the day-to-day stuff ourselves, from opening up in the morning to locking the gates at night. There isn't any big corporate structure behind us. It is just a small team of us working in this room. We keep things simple and honest, focusing on the garments and the people who come to see us.
