We are based over at No. 279 in Kalkaji. It’s a decent-sized space where we handle a lot of our daily operations. We focus on craft and making things, which means there’s usually some kind of project in progress on the work tables. Kalkaji is a lively part of town, so there’s always something happening outside our door, from the street vendors to the heavy traffic. Our team isn't very large, just some local people who know what they’re doing. We spend our days dealing with materials and trying to get the details right. Sometimes things go smoothly and sometimes we have to start over on a piece, but that’s just part of the process of making things by hand. We don’t have a flashy front office or a receptionist. It’s mostly just a place where we put in the hours and get things done. We’ve been in this spot for a while and have gotten to know the other shop owners on the street. It feels like a good place to be. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation; we just want to make decent stuff and keep the business running. People usually find us because they need something specific made or they’ve seen our work somewhere else. We just try to be honest about what we can do and how long it will take. It’s a simple setup, and it works for what we need. We drink a lot of chai during the afternoon slump.
