Alex Trading Co. is located in Govindpuri, specifically in Gali No. 11. If you know Kalkaji, you know how narrow these lanes can get. Our shop is number 1146/A. It’s a tight squeeze sometimes when we are moving goods in and out, but we’ve managed for years. The street is always full of life, with bikes zipping past and neighbors talking across the balconies. Inside, it’s mostly just storage and a small area for us to sit and do the accounts. It’s not the kind of place with a fancy reception desk. We usually have the door open to get some air, even if it’s a bit dusty. We do a lot of trading with people from all over the city, but this is our base. It’s humble and maybe a little cluttered, but we know where every single item is kept. Working in Govindpuri means you have to be okay with a bit of noise and the occasional power cut. We just light a candle or use a torch and keep going. It’s a family-style setup, where everyone chips in with whatever needs doing. We don’t have big titles here. We just show up, do the work, and head home when the sun goes down. It’s a basic way to run a business, but it works for us. We just keep things moving along the best we can every single day.
