Darya Gunj is a crowded area, and being at 1691 means we see a lot of foot traffic every single day. Our space here is filled with different types of ceramics. It's quite a mix of old and new styles. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. Just shelves and racks of tiles. If you've ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how noisy it gets outside with all the rickshaws and vendors. Inside, it's mostly us moving things around and making sure the displays aren't too messy. We get contractors coming in early, and then homeowners show up later in the afternoon. Sometimes someone wants a very specific shade of white, and we have to dig through the back to find it. It's physical work, lifting those heavy boxes. We've got a small team here. We know the neighborhood well and where to get the best lunch nearby. Working with tiles is straightforward, though picking the right pattern can take people hours. We just let them take their time. There’s no point in rushing someone when they have to look at those floors for the next twenty years. It's just a regular shop where we try to keep things organized despite the constant dust coming in from the street. It’s a bit cramped when we get a big shipment in, but we make it work.
