Most of our day is spent dealing with the actual materials. Ceramics are heavy and they break if you aren't careful, so we spend a lot of time just being cautious with the inventory. It’s a straightforward job. We don’t have any polished slogans or mission statements printed on the walls. We just have shelves and boxes and a desk where we handle the paperwork. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when several deliveries arrive at once, but we manage. The staff here has been around for a while, so we know the drill. We talk to people who come in just like we’d talk to a neighbor. There’s no need for corporate speak. If a customer needs to know about a specific tile, we just show them what we have in the back. It’s not a high-tech operation. It’s just a bunch of us working with tiles and making sure things get where they need to go. We like the area because it’s central, even if the traffic is a nightmare sometimes. We just focus on the task in front of us and keep things moving. It's a bit of a squeeze sometimes but we make it work.
