Jawahar Lal Phool Chand

We've been here on Main Road in Sadar Bazar for quite a long time now. If you know the area, you’ve probably walked past us while headed to the Punjab National Bank right across the street. It’s always busy around here, especially in the mornings when the shops open up and people start crowding the lanes. Jawahar Lal Phool Chand isn't a fancy place with bright lights or anything like that. It’s just us doing what we do every day. Most of the people who come in are regulars who have been buying from us for years. We handle things simply. There’s no big office or a team of people in suits. It’s mostly just the family and a few helpers making sure everything is in its place. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. You learn to work with the space you have when you're in a spot like this. It gets loud with the traffic outside, but that’s just life in the market. We don't spend much time on the internet or making brochures. We’d rather just talk to the person standing in front of us. If you’re ever near the bank and need something, you can just step inside. We’re usually here until the evening when things finally quiet down a bit. It’s a plain way to run a business, but it works for us and the people who depend on what we stock here.
