Singhania Textile Agency is located over in Janak Puri. It’s a busy part of the city, and we’ve been part of the fabric of this neighborhood for quite a long time. Our space is filled with rolls of cloth and samples that we’ve collected over the years. It smells like cotton and dust in here, which is something you just get used to. We aren't the type of people to use big corporate talk or have meetings in boardrooms. Usually, we just sit on the stools near the counter and talk to whoever walks in. People come here looking for specific things, and we do our best to find them in the stacks. Sometimes it takes a while to dig through everything, but we usually know where things are hidden. Janak Puri has changed a lot since we started, with new shops opening and old ones closing, but we’ve managed to stay put. We don't spend money on big ads or shiny signs. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years or those who were told about us by a friend. We keep a ledger for the accounts and a phone that rings quite a bit during the day. It’s a simple life, and we like the routine of opening up in the morning and closing down when the sun goes over the buildings. It’s just us doing what we know how to do.
