If you head into the middle of Chandni Chowk, you’ll find us at 1934. We’ve changed things around a bit, so we are now only on the 2nd and 3rd floors, sitting right opposite the fountain. You have to climb the stairs, which are narrow and old, like everything else in this part of Delhi. Once you get up there, it’s a bit of a maze filled with all kinds of lights. Chandeliers and pendant lamps hang from every bit of the ceiling. It’s usually quite warm, and the noise from the streets below never really stops. We spend our time checking bulbs and talking to people who’ve made the trek upstairs. The building is old, and it has that specific smell of dust and electricity. We don't have fancy carpets or air conditioning that works all that well. It’s mostly just shelves and boxes everywhere you look. We drink a lot of tea while we work, usually ordered from the shop down the street. It’s a busy life here in the heart of the market. Sometimes the stairs feel long at the end of a day, but being opposite the fountain is a good landmark for anyone looking for us. We aren't trying to be a fancy showroom. We just have a lot of stock and a place to show it. It’s a straightforward setup for a business in Old Delhi. We just focus on helping people find what they need among all the wires.
