Jai Shakti Paint Industries is located over by Race Course, right where A H Siddiqui & Bros. handle things near the Air Force Station. Being tucked away in the Race Course Camp area means we have a lot of specific neighbors. The work here is mostly about the paint and the industrial side of things. It’s not a quiet place because there’s always something moving or being loaded onto a truck. The air usually smells like chemicals and fresh pigments, which is something you just get used to after a week. We’ve been operating from this spot for quite some time, and the buildings around us haven't changed much over the years. We spend a lot of our morning looking over the lists and checking the drums. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting and shifting containers from one side of the floor to the other. Sometimes the paperwork gets piled up on the desk when we’re too busy out on the floor. It’s a family-run kind of atmosphere with the Siddiqui brothers involved, so everyone knows their role and just gets on with it. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just show up, do the mixing, handle the shipments, and head home when the sun goes down. The location is convenient for the lorries coming in, even if the traffic near the station can be a bit of a headache during the peak hours.
