We have some desks pushed together and a lot of filing cabinets. Working in infrastructure means we have to keep a lot of physical records, so space is always a bit tight. The noise from the street filters in, but we are used to it by now. It’s not a fancy corporate headquarters with a marble floor. It’s just a place where we come every morning to get the jobs done. We have a small kettle for making tea and some chairs for visitors that have seen better days. The walls have some stains here and there, and the lighting isn't the best, but it works for what we do. We don't spend money on looking good; we spend our time on the project details. Most of the team is usually out at different sites across the city anyway. When everyone comes back for the weekly meeting, it’s a bit of a squeeze. It’s an honest, hard-working environment in a very old part of Delhi. We like being near Ajmeri Gate because everything is accessible from here.
