Our spot is on the second floor of building sixteen over in Ejipura. It’s on 20 ‘J’ Cross, which can be a bit tricky to find if you’re not used to the Vivek Nagar layout. Traffic around here in Bangalore is always something else. Ijm (India) Infrastructure Ltd is tucked away in this neighborhood. We spend a lot of time on these stairs. The office is small, mostly desks and some old maps pinned to the walls. We take care of the local infrastructure planning from this room. It gets noisy outside with the bikes and the vendors, but it’s home for us. We've been here for a good stretch of time now. The neighbors know us. Sometimes the tea stall downstairs is where we actually end up talking about the work. We aren't doing anything flashy. It's just about making sure the projects move along. We have a few engineers coming in and out at odd hours depending on the site schedules. It’s a busy corner of the city. Finding parking for the jeep is usually a headache. We don’t have a big lobby or a receptionist. Just walk up and knock. We’re usually buried in some blueprints or checking the latest schedules. That’s how it goes for us in 560 047. We’ve seen the city change from this window over the years. It’s a lot of work but we keep at it.
