Our office is in New Delhi. Being in the capital means there is always a lot of energy and movement around us. The streets are constantly packed and there is a certain rhythm to the city that you just have to get used to. Our space is pretty simple. We have the usual office equipment and a few meeting rooms where we sit and talk through things. It isn't a fancy place with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a functional workspace where we get our projects done. The staff here comes from different parts of the city, so we hear all sorts of stories about the metro or the bus rides in the morning. We spend a lot of time on the phone or on emails, connecting with different people across South Asia. The winters in Delhi are cold and the summers are burning, so the office is our little refuge from the weather outside. We keep things pretty informal. There’s usually someone sharing snacks or talking about a new spot they found for lunch. We don't have a lot of strict rules about how the desks look, as long as the work is getting done. It’s a busy atmosphere but we manage to stay on top of our list. Living and working in New Delhi is an experience every day, and we are right in the thick of it here. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep everything organized.
