If you look for us in New Delhi, you will find Human Rights Law Network over at Sarai Kale Khan. Specifically, we are at 74-B in Block No. 19, right in the Nizamuddin East area. It is a busy part of the city with a lot of history and people coming and going constantly. Our office is usually full of papers, law books, and people looking for some help with their legal problems. We focus on rights and the law, trying to navigate the court systems for those who might not know how to do it themselves. It is not a fancy corporate law firm with marble floors or expensive art. Instead, it is a place where lawyers and activists sit together and work on cases that actually matter to regular people. The building is older and sometimes the stairs are a bit narrow, but it serves us well for what we do. We have been at this Nizamuddin East location for a long time now. People from all over the city come here when they feel they have been treated unfairly. We spend a lot of time reading through documents and writing up filings for the courts. It can be tiring work and the legal system moves very slowly, but we just keep showing up. We do not have a big marketing budget, we just rely on the work we do. It is a practical, busy office where the main goal is just helping out.
