Our spot is in the Nigam Market on G B Road, right at 5224/109. If you know this area, you know it is always crowded and loud with all the trade going on. We have been here at H.P.T. International for a good stretch of time now. We handle a lot of different goods, mostly stuff that needs to be moved across different regions. It isn't a quiet office by any means. There is always someone shouting over the phone or a porter moving heavy crates across the floor. We drink a lot of water because it gets hot in the market, especially in the afternoons. Our desks are covered in papers and shipping notes, and sometimes it takes a minute to find a pen that actually works. We don't have a big sign out front, just the address and the name painted on the shutter. It's a busy life, but we like the pace of it. Most of our customers are other traders who have been coming to this market for decades. We talk about the prices, the weather, and how the traffic on G B Road never seems to get any better. It’s not some corporate setup with uniforms; we just wear what’s comfortable for a long day of work. We get the job done and go home to our families when the market finally starts to quiet down in the evening after the sun goes down.
