We've been at D 199 in Malviya Nagar for a good while now. It’s a busy spot, and things get a bit crowded with all the boxes of toilets and sinks piled up. Most days, we’re just here moving things around or helping someone pick out a new basin for their home. The neighborhood knows us pretty well. It isn't a fancy showroom or anything like that. Just a practical place where we keep the inventory and handle the paperwork. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it's quiet enough to actually get a tea break. We deal with Hindustan Sanitaryware & Industries Ltd. products, which means heavy ceramic stuff mostly. Lifting those commodes isn't exactly easy work but it keeps us busy. The guys in the back are usually sorting through the latest shipment from the factory. If you walk past, you'll see the stacks of crates. We try to keep things organized but in a small space like this in New Delhi, it's a constant battle against the clutter. Anyway, that’s just how it goes here. We don’t do much fancy advertising because people just know where to find us. It’s honest work and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the traffic outside. If you need something for a bathroom, we probably have it sitting somewhere in one of those crates. It's just us, the inventory, and the daily hustle in Malviya Nagar.
