We are based at F-240B on the first floor in Laxminagar. Gali No. 12 is usually quite busy especially since it is right near Mangal Bazar. You know how Delhi is, there is always noise outside and people moving around. Hindustan Construction Company Ltd. has been here for a while now. We spend most of our days looking at drawings or talking to people on-site about why things are taking longer than they should. It isn't a fancy office with big glass windows or anything like that. Just a regular spot where we keep our files and meet the crew. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just get on with it. Working in this part of Delhi means you deal with traffic and tight spaces every single day. If you are looking for us, look for the sign near the stairs. We mostly do local stuff, trying to make sure the walls are straight and the materials show up on time. It is honest work and sometimes it gets pretty dusty. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write pretty things for us. It’s just us here, making sure the projects actually move forward. There’s always someone drinking tea in the corner and the phones are usually ringing. It gets a bit chaotic during the monsoon because the market area gets messy, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We just stay focused on the bricks and the mortar.
