We run our law practice out of B-169 in Sastri Nagar. Hemant Chaudhari & Co. Law Firm has been in this New Delhi neighborhood for a long time. It is a residential-style area, so the office feels a bit more personal than those big glass towers you see downtown. We have a lot of files and law books stacked up inside, as you would expect from a place like this. The office is usually a bit quiet until the phones start ringing in the afternoon. We take on all sorts of cases that come our way. People from around the neighborhood stop by often to talk. We do not have a big receptionist desk or a waiting room with shiny magazines. Usually, you just walk in and we sit down at one of the wooden desks to chat. New Delhi can be a chaotic city, but Sastri Nagar stays relatively calm most days. We try to keep our paperwork in order, though sometimes the piles get a bit high when we are busy with court dates and filings. It is just a few of us working here together. We know the local courts well and how things move along in this city. We are not into big advertising or anything like that. Most people find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a neighbor. We just do the work and try to help people out.
