Havells(India) Ltd., Noida

We are technically listed under the Noida branch but our actual workspace is at 23/19 in Faridabad. It’s a bit of a weird setup with the locations, but we make it work. The building is a standard industrial-type structure and we’ve been here for quite some time now. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, a few phones, and a lot of ledgers. We handle a lot of the back-end stuff for Havells India Ltd. It’s not the kind of place where customers come to browse; it’s more for the heavy lifting of the business. We have a small crew and most of us have been working together for years. We know who takes their tea with sugar and who doesn’t. The office gets a bit cold in the winter so we all bring in extra sweaters. We spend our hours checking off lists and making sure the numbers in the books match the stock we have. It’s practical work that doesn’t need a lot of talking about. We just show up, do what needs to be done, and head home. There’s a small shop around the corner where we get our morning biscuits. It’s a very routine kind of life here in Faridabad, but we like the consistency of it. No one is trying to impress anyone; we’re just here to do the job properly and keep things moving forward through the day.
